A Secure, Local Digitization Service in Colwood, BC
Your family’s memories are too precious to ship. That’s why we provide a secure, transparent, and personal digitization service right here at our private workshop in Colwood.
We’ve designed our entire process around the safety of your collection. Below is exactly what you can expect when you entrust your project to us, ensuring complete peace of mind from start to finish.
Our Secure Colwood Workshop & Drop-Off Process
Our professional workshop is located at my family home at 3420 Metchosin Road, Colwood, BC. This private setting is a deliberate choice, offering a level of security and personal oversight that a busy retail location simply cannot.
- A Secure, Private Arrival: When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, you can pull your car directly into the driveway. The property is fully fenced, creating a safe, private space for us to handle your collection away from the street.
- A Professional Outdoor Consultation: We will meet you at your vehicle. For larger projects, a table in my covered carport is set up to safely review your materials. To maintain the security of the workshop and the privacy of my home, all consultations and handovers are conducted here.
- A Dedicated Workspace: While we meet outside, your media is digitized inside a dedicated, professional workshop. It is a clean, organized, and smoke-free environment equipped for the careful handling of irreplaceable archival materials.
How to Get Started (By Appointment Only)
Our process is simple and secure. To ensure we can provide every client with our undivided attention and maintain a controlled, secure environment, all visits must be scheduled in advance.
- Start Your Project Online: Fill out our quick form so we can learn about your collection.
- Book Your Private Appointment: We will contact you to schedule a convenient drop-off time.
- Visit for Your Secure Handover: Bring your memories to our Colwood workshop, where you will hand them directly to me.
Why a Local Service is the Only Safe Choice
Choosing a local, in-person service eliminates the significant risks that come with shipping your irreplaceable memories to a national factory. Mail-in services treat your history like cargo, exposing it to:
- Damage in Transit from rough handling and automated sorting.
- Irreversible Harm from extreme temperatures in trucks and warehouses.
- The Ultimate Nightmare: Being permanently lost in the mail.
Our hands-on, local model means your collection is never out of our personal care. It is handled with the professional respect required for preserving historical materials, a standard of care emphasized by institutions like the Royal BC Museum Archives.
